What To Ask Your Photographer?

FREQUENTLY ASKED

The best place to start is with checking availability.  Please get in touch... we have so much to talk about!

How can we book?

Absolutely I can!  This is the part I love the most.  Seeing your beautiful images in print is magic... this is what they are meant to be!

can you print our images for us?

I get this!  This is why I shoot in a guided rather than a posed style.  I'm totally not into the posed shots!  I am all about the candid and natural interaction that happens when you're just having a great time.  This is what I love and what my clients love.  My style is why you're reading this.

I love a "First Look" mainly because you don't have to leave your own wedding to have portraits done.  We can definitely chat over the options and come up with a plan to make sure your day is exactly what you dreamed it would be.

we are not into posed photos and don't want to leave our guests for portraits.

In the days following your wedding I will provide some sneak peek photos and the rest of your collection will be edited within 6-8 weeks following your wedding day.

how long will it take to get our photographs after the wedding?

Yes!  Every single photograph you receive in your final collection has been individually corrected through my advanced post-production process. Consistency over your collection is so important, so your collection will be consistent in colour correction but each image requires individual attention.  This can be a timely process, but it is well worth the time invested to make sure every image is the very best that it can be.

are our photographs edited?

I do not put a number on how many images because different factors will influence the day.  I will deliver the best images from the day.  I don't class blinking in images the best, however if someone pulls a funny it will definitely be included in your collection.

how many images will we receive?

Every wedding is different!  I have photographed weddings where I have had 2 hours and others where I have had 20 minutes.

Ideally, 1.5 hours is perfect but travel time does have to be considered if we are using a variety of locations.

I recommend working backwards from the time of sunset to plan your timeline.  This is something we will work on together, so don't stress about doing it all on your own.  I am there every step of the way.

how much time should we allow for photos?

Above all, is the connections I document... the genuine smiles and the authentic moments.  I have the ability to connect with people from all walks of life, I love open heartedly and have a natural tendency to make people feel comfortable.

I am regularly complimented by clients and industry peers on the authenticity of my work and often asked to mentor fellow Photographers... maybe in the future.

I give my clients my all every single time... and this I believe is reflected in my work and the friendships that bloom with my clients.

what makes you different to other photographers?

I whole heartedly love photographing the connection between companions, so much so that it's all I photograph!

There is nothing like the connection between people who choose each other!  I photograph couples in a way that is playful, romantic, intimate and raw.  For me, it's about documenting the feeling of a connection that only lovers know, the connection the outside world doesn't see.

Often couples have photographs done at a milestone, an engagement or a wedding, even a maternity... but documenting your love is so much deeper.  To find a love so real, in this big wide world... how lucky is that... that's worth documenting!

why do you love photographing couples and weddings?

Yes, I definitely do!

I shoot only with professional grade equipment and your images are saved twice in camera.  I then back up your images again and keep them archived safely for 5 years.

do you backup your images?

My style is certainly not traditional! By traditional I mean awkward posing and artificial lighting... no thanks!

My style is emotionally connected and unposed but guided. I'm all about creating an adventurous and fun experience while capturing beautifully authentic moments. My goal is not only provide you with honest, romantic and timeless memories but a good time with some good laughs along the way.

I work with organic light to produce pure and soulful portraits in a non-intrusive way.  Portraits that capture your story... your connection.

When it comes to editing, I love crisp whites and rich blacks.  I edit true to colour so your images are timeless and will be beautiful when your grand babies hold them.

can you describe your style?

Absolutely!  I'll go anywhere for an epic love story... if COVID allows.

I am based in Rockhampton, Queensland but have documented weddings all over the beautiful Sunshine State.  Some of my highlights have been weddings in Maleny, Atherton, Sunshine Coast, 1770 and Hervey Bay.

do you travel?

I have been in the wedding industry for 7 years and photographing professionally for 10 years.

My wedding and couple work is what I am known for and have recently made the move to focus solely on documenting love stories.  I'm so excited!

How long have you been in business?

My extensive experience in photographing all different types of weddings allows me to competently adjust to all different types of situations.  I am naturally very relaxed but super organised.

My goal is not only provide you with honest, romantic and timeless memories but a good time with some good laughs along the way.

what are you like to work with?

It is best to lock in your chosen date at least 18 months to 2 years in advance.  Dates during peak seasons, which here is Queensland is March through to October always book up very quickly.
