This wedding is one of the most romantic days I have had the privilege of documenting…

It was only a couple of months out from Jason and Yuxin’s wedding day when I received a call from Jason to book me as their Wedding Photographer. A beautiful afternoon at the Villa on the Beach in the heart of Yeppoon was to be their setting.

I think it’s safe to say this quiet mannered gentleman was feeling a little overwhelmed with the duty of planning a wedding. But… the brief I received from Jason was that the day was to be all about his precious Yuxin.

I met Yuxin on the morning of their wedding day at the Cutting Edge Boutique in Yeppoon. A gorgeous woman with an infectious smile. This was easily the happiest day of her life… and we all knew it. Cradling her baby bump, sipping mocktails and laughing with her girlfriends was the perfect morning for a bride, despite the absence of her family… another unfortunate COVID repercussion. COVID had inhibited the ability for Yuxin’s family to travel to the beautiful Central Queensland coast for this very special day.

But… the day would continue…

It was in the private upstairs setting of the Villa where Yuxin’s final preparations where done. In the garden below her, loved ones gathered to witness in their promises.

Jason waited patiently… nervously… at the end of the aisle for his bride to arrive.

On the arm of her father-in-law, Yuxin made her way through those timber villa doors to see her dream come true… a delicate setting filled with love and the promise of every tomorrow.
